Research Methodology: Secondary Research Methodology
Research Design: Systematic Literature Review Design
Abstract
The UK has experienced greater intensity of religious diffusion over the recent decades because of increased globalisation precisely characterised by the increased number of immigrants in the country. The primary purpose of this study was to assess the contemporary state of religious diffusion in the UK. This study adopted secondary research in the form of a systematic literature review to generate new knowledge for addressing this research aim. From a sociological perspective, this study examined the multifaceted dynamics of Islam region diffusion in the UK. The reported results from the conducted analysis demonstrated a complex interplay between different factors that influence the increased diffusion of the Islamic region in the UK. The factors identified include demographic shifts, challenges of integration and acceptance, and the diverse interpretations of Islam within UK Muslim communities. The study further reported a significant increase in the Muslim population in the UK, leading to the enhanced establishment of Muslim institutions. Additionally, this research identified other issues such as discrimination, Islamophobia, and societal misconceptions which limit the full inclusion and participation of the Muslim community in different sectors in the UK.
